It is being rumoured that Google will also play a duo this year with the launch of Android V 4.4 (KitKat) and Nexus 5 on 14th October, 2013.

Launch of KitKat will mark the introduction of the most developed Android platform till date and is expected to have features which includes:

This android version's firmware will be available to other phones as well whereby existing Android V 4.0, V 4.1, V 4.2, etc., can easily upgrade to V 4.4.  Though there is no official commitment form Google on this subject, the trends are hinting towards a nearby launch date as Google has launched the first visuals of Android V 4.4 KitKat on September 3, 2013. The past episodes allows us to observe that Google does not builds up huge promotion campaigns for its initial launches and discloses the date of launch only days before the actual event. So therefore, with the launch of the KitKat statue in recent, we can consider the arrival of the same within few days. Additionally, reports also suggests that recently a phone has also passed FCC which is supposed to be Nexus 5!

Fingers crossed and eyes wide open!
